10月26日 Cold front passes the island...One of the things that we have been wondering is how cold are we going to find "winter" this time round. Last time we had the benefit of Canada fall and December to break us in, so when we got here, Bermuda winter was pretty easy going...
We found Atlanta pretty cold, part b/c of our climatization and partly b/c it was actually pretty cold. It was 39 degrees farenheit when we left and that is damn cold. This week a "cold front" is passing over the island, bringing damp weather, cooler temperatures and breezy winds. 6pm tonight the temp was 18 celsius or 65 fahrenheit, which is pretty cold by Bermuda standards. Having said that its 4 degrees in Moncton, so we have nothing to complain about. Every year you are here I think you get "wussier" with respect to the cold. People that have been here 10 years find today freezing. Others that have been here sometime are upset b/c this week has meant the end of shorts for them. Driving home today I saw people wearing fleeces and wool gloves. It feels kind of silly when its 18 degrees. I have my canada summer jacket which I think is respectable, Sue is wearing her autumn jacket from back home (last year this was her Bermuda winter jacket), so I think this winter might be interesting....
